Otmar brings over 15 years of combined work experience from the public and private sectors. His focus is on Architecture, Project Management, Architectural Conservation, Artistic Cultural Heritage, and Urban-Rural Planning.

Since completing a Graduate Diploma and a Master of Architecture, he conducted produced work in architectural conservation and spatial justice. These works relate to materials, space, and places in the design of built, urban, landscape, and heritage projects.​His strategy is to learn from nature, culture, science, and art to inform symbolically expressive solutions that respond to design, representing change, displacement, and cultural loss. Otmar's career began by focusing on residential, institutional, and commercial architecture at Repole Architects and Planners. Later, through public service, he worked in spatial justice, heritage conservation, documentation, and advocacy for injustice and activism using contemporary artistic and built works.

He believes that social, economic, and racial/ ethnic values have a deserved place in heritage in the wider Americas. Otmar is passionate, he is in the pursuit of understanding and using the ethos of cultural heritage planning for useful outcomes that allow him to explore greater avenues for percent in design.​ As demonstrated in his portfolio, his specialization in architectural conservation in all its facets has opened doors. However, by referencing the beginning of his tertiary training, he foresees contemporary design where the building as a whole in itself, can be a constructional ornament made of similar recognizable parts.

 

His commitment and interest have brought him exposure in the private sector through volunteering, and working in the public services. Heritage conservation encouraged him to engage in topics in difficult and lost cultures. His next goal is licensure in Canada.
