Building Investigation (2019)

An introductory project demonstrates learning and practice in recording the physical characteristics of historic structures at the Azrieli School of Architecture's brutalist building. It explores conservation and preservation of a modernist reinforced concrete as it goes through the ravages of hot and cold expansion and contraction in a temperate climate.

The exercise is geared towards historic site recording and assessment by means of:

  • Non-destructive investigation

  • Measured survey

  • Point Cloud Scanning

  • Material Investigation 

  • Conservation Report Writing 

  • Photography
